AGB Progression Awards

The Archery GB Progression Award is a scheme designed to help younger archers build their strength and confidence in target archery. It allows juniors to hone their skills and achieve some badges – always a great addition to any quiver!

The rules:

  1. Shooting may be indoors or outdoors.
  2. The archer must shoot 36 arrows in ends of 6 arrows. This may be shot in one session of 36 arrows or in 2 sessions of 18 arrows each.
  3. A maximum if 12 arrows warm-up is allowed per session. (d) Archers must achieve the scores shown in the document as appropriate. Note that score requirement varies according to: (a) Bowstyle: Recurve, Compound or longbow/barebow/fibreglass bow. (b) Age group. (c) Gender. (d) Face size used. (e) Distance shot.
  4. A badge colour can only be claimed once irrespective of age group or bowstyle. However, missed colours may be claimed when a junior archer moves up an age group.
