I rather like this photo of Dave and Mick watching Josh and Alex kicking bums and taking names at the Cleadon 25M FITA. Thought I would share it:
An Extraordinary Meeting for Durham City Archers will be held at the Club on Saturday 25th February 2012.
The meeting is to discuss a proposal made at the AGM to update or change the current club logo.
The agenda will include:
1. A vote to decide if Club Members would like to keep or change the current “smiley face archer” DCA logo.
2. If the motion to change the current DCA logo is carried forward, then Members will vote on the new Club logo from a selection that have been submitted.
Members who wish to design a new or updated logo can submit their ideas to the Secretary (davey@durhamcityarchers.org) before the EGM to be included in the discussion.
Will be held on the 4th of Feb, 13:00 – 15:00.
Topics covered as discussed during the 1st session, DCA Members only.
Compound shooters, Lloyd is going to be delivering a 2 session masterclass over the next few weeks to try and help you understand your bow and how you can maintain and shoot it.

The first session will be at 7pm on the 24th covering everything you need to know to do a functional setup of a compound bow.
The next session (Date TBA) will be more in depth covering tuning and techniques to improve your shooting and understanding of your bow.
Please contact Lloyd at the club for details and to express interest. These sessions are for club members only.
Many archers have expressed an interest in further coaching this winter, so we are running a session after club hours for members interested in improving their archery.
So if you’re a new member looking to improve your shooting, or an experienced archer wanting to do better, our Club Coaches will be available at the improvers course being held on 14th January from 15:00 – 17:00.
Free to all Durham City Archers Members
We will be having our Christmas fun Shoot this Friday the 23rd at the normal time, please bring party food for sharing if you can. We will be doing a team based quiz (a run through of the Bullseye game) so it should be a good laugh.
Over the Christmas period we plan to be open and shooting on all the regular shooting days, and I am informed by the caretaker Tony that we should be able to leave the range up from the 23rd through to the 3rd, pending notification of any changes.
The AGM of Durham City Archers will be held on Saturday 28th January 2012 at the club, starting at 12:00.
All Club Members are invited to attend.
All Committee positions will be elected at the meeting, so any Members who would like to stand for a position should express their interest to the Secretary prior to the AGM.
Commitee Positions can be found on the DCA Constitution
Entry forms now available:
Congratulations to everyone who shot, and thanks to everyone who helped.
