Beginners
PLEASE NOTE: We are currently booked solid until September at the earliest .
Our beginners’ course consists of six lessons, with one to one tuition from one of our coaches, and are usually on a Saturday from approximately 11:00 to 13:00.
The course runs for six consecutive weeks. So if you are planning on taking a course please make sure your calendar is free.
We have recurve bows of varying poundage which will be suitable for everyone.
Arrows, finger and arm protection are also provided.
We are happy to teach anyone from 10 to 80 (or older) however, we ask that anyone under the age of 14 be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
At the end of the course if you wish to join the club then the club and GNAS fees are payable when you come along for your first normal session.
There are limited numbers of club bows and these are usually taken by the next intake of beginners so you will need to sort out the purchase of equipment for personal use, help will be given.
If you wish to reserve a place, or discuss taking up archery, contact Julie via beginners@durhamcityarchers.org (further details can be found on the contact page) and we will confirm your reservation for our next available course.
