In order to get started in Archery it is recommended that you complete a beginners course where you will be taught to shoot safely in a supported 1 to 1 environment by a qualified Archery GB Coach.
We will not only teach you to shoot but help and advise you about what equipment to buy and help get you started.
PLEASE NOTE: We are currently fully booked until March at the earliest .
Our beginners’ course consists of six lessons, with one to one tuition from one of our coaches, and are usually on a Saturday from approximately 13:00 to 15:00.
The course runs for six consecutive weeks. So if you are planning on taking a course please make sure your calendar is free.
We have recurve bows of varying poundage which will be suitable for everyone.
Arrows, finger and arm protection are also provided.
We are happy to teach anyone from 10 to 80 (or older) however, we ask that anyone under the age of 14 be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
At the end of the course if you wish to join the club then the club and GNAS fees are payable when you come along for your first normal session.
There are limited numbers of club bows and these are usually taken by the next intake of beginners so you will need to sort out the purchase of equipment for personal use, help will be given.
Beginners should contact:
